We are a 17th century country pub with rooms. Located in the pretty village of Felmersham, in Bedfordshire - North from London. Come and feel part of our community and experience the best produce Bedfordshire and beyond has to offer.
Our story so far…
For Peter and Conny, Laura and JJ, the Sun adventure started in 2019 with a vision to provide a welcoming home for our neighbours and locals from further afield, with quality hospitality and nourishment.
Given the pubs historic past stretching back over 300 years, it was starting to look a little tired, so in the summer of 2022, with the help of many local trades and Katy (Article Design) we set to restoring and preparing the pub for the next 300 years and the stories to come.
We are super excited to share the fresh new Sun with you - some exciting new highlights, such as the new Rooms upstairs - but the same warm welcome and incredible food that you have come to expect!

Wild about our farming roots
Wild Berry Farm is JJ and Laura’s natural habitat; surrounded by a menagerie of animals and nature rich countryside. Their Boer goat herd was started in 2020 and you will often see goat on the pub menu with it’s unique, tender and delicate flavour - this versatile organic meat provides no end of inspiration for our chefs.
The Lakeside
Surrounded by lush green meadows and thriving with nature, our lakeside beauty spot is an idyllic location for your wedding or event. Feel free to discuss your special event with any member of the pub team.
The Sun Inn resides in the small village of Felmersham on the Great River Ouse, complete with a Grade I listed Church. A view of which is appreciated from the top floor of our bridal suite. Explore the local nature reserve at Felmersham Gravel Pits and navigate the maze of footpaths that sprawl across this beautiful Parish.
